Now I want to install my Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000, bud I cant, the disc say, that it is dangeous for my computer, to use the old driver with windows 10. I too have this problem. In previous updates to windows 10 all I had to do was unplug the camera, restart the computer and plug it back in but after this latest update it doesn't work at all and I get the error message above in both windows 10 home and pro. I downloaded that windows 7 driver and it didn't work 'doesn't work in windows 10'.

Now I have formatted again and I'm running 64 bit and I've run into the same problems as the first time. I believe I may have done it, I downloaded the Windows 7 version of the software and put it in compatibility mode for Windows 7, mid-installation it opens up a prompt to install a version of.Net which apparently it needs (???), the installation for LifeCam is still in progress but it is almost complete and so far no errors so this is the farthest I've gotten.

I had the same thing with my surface pro 3- for several updates of windows 10 it was reporting a Bluetooth serial port emulator was incompatible and I actually had to uninstall and disable this device for several updates to even install the updates. This latest update has finally fixed that problem.
